Fire erupts on UoB campus
Manama : A fire broke out in one of the buildings at the University of Bahrain (UoB) on Wednesday night. However, no one was injured in the incident, as the campus was empty.
UoB confirmed the incident and clarified that it took place in the College of Science building. The university stated that Civil Defence firefighting teams extinguished the fire within one hour.
“Considering the safety of students and staff, the building was closed the next day as a precautionary procedure, while the damage and traces of the fire were completely removed. Classes will resume on Sunday,” UoB said in a press statement.
