Bahrain revokes private school licence

Manama : Education Ministry  issued a resolution revoking the licence of Dilmun private school following the school's breach of applicable law and regulations governing private educational institutions in Bahrain. 

The school had been warned about the violations and informed to correct these violations but failed to comply within the specified period.

According to the PR and Media Directorate in the Education Ministry, the school did not satisfy the safety and security measures, health, educational and vocational safety conditions and standards which might damage its students physically, socially, psychologically, financially in addition to the school's non-compliance with the conditions of employment of administrative and educational staff members according to the standards.

Also, the non-compliance of the school's curriculum with the provisions of Law Decree 25/1998 regarding private educational and training institutions as well as non-compliance with the provisions of Ministerial Resolution 2/1999 regarding private educational institutions. 

In view of these violations and the school's carrying on with its business without removal of the said violations within the specified period, the ministry decided to revoke the school's licence in accordance with the provision of the above-said Decree.
