Court jails man for robbery
Manama : The Supreme Appeals court has upheld the sentence issued against a man convicted in a robbery case.
The defendant was earlier sentenced to six months in prison after he was found guilty of robbing a Bahraini woman. The appellant stood trial along with another man. He was also given six months imprisonment.
The victim reported to the police that her wallet consisting of a BD50 worth perfume and a notebook was stolen after she left her car unattended with its doors unlocked.
The wallet was recovered, but without the money and the bank cards.
Police investigations had confirmed the duo’s involvement in the robbery. They were eventually apprehended and put on trial.
