Khalid bin Hamad Indoor Youth Football League to begin on Aug 7

Manama : The 4th edition of the Khalid bin Hamad Youth Centres League for Indoor Football will start on August 7. A total of 32 teams will participate in the League.

As part of selecting teams, the Ministry for Youth and Sports Affairs has organised a draw yesterday.

The draw was attended by  Hisham Yousif Bukhamas, Head of Programmes at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs and Ahmed Jaber, Head of the League, heads of the working committees besides representatives from the participating centres, media and a number of invited guests at the Ministry’s Seef headquarters.

The eight qualifying teams from last year were made the heads of groups.

The first round of matches will be played on a round-robin basis in eight groups of four, with the top two in each advancing to the knockout stage.

Supreme Council for Youth and Sport First Vice Chairman HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and   Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs Al Jowder were praised for their support for the tournament.

The draw: 

Group A: Al Shakhoora, Bu Quwah, The Village, Al Hamala.

Group B: Karanah  Al Jasrah, Al Daih, Dumistan. 

Group C:  Al Busaiteen, Isa Town, Central, Abu Saiba. 

Group D: Sanad, Buhair, Karbabad, Al Sanabis. 

Group E: Hamad Town, Al Muharraq, Jurdab, East Riffa. 

Group F: Safra, South Sehla, Jidhafs, Youth Center, Naim and Sultan. 

Group G: Zallaq, Ras Ruman, Zayed Town, Naim. 

Group H: Salmabad, Arad, Al Hoora and Al Gudaibiya, Karzakan.
