Dr Sayyar attends sports conference in Amman

Manama: The General Secretary of  Nasser bin Hamad Scientific Research Award in the field of sports, Dr Abdulrahman Sayyar, recently attended 11th International Conference Sports Sciences in Amman, Jordan.

More than 130 Arab delegates attended the two-day conference, organised in cooperation with Association of Physical Education Colleges in Arab Universities under the theme: “Integration in Sport Sciences.”

“The conference focused on the integration of sport sciences for better performance in a number of related fields such as sports training, media, physical education for special needs students, physical education curricula, injury and rehabilitation among others”, Dr Sayyar said.

 In his speech, he took this opportunity to promote the Nasser bin Hamad Scientific Research Award which was launched in 2012 by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee President. It is in recognition of the scientific research and its role in sport development in  sports management, training, and medicine.
