Arad Garden opens
Manama : The BD67,000-worth Arad Garden project was inaugurated in Muharraq yesterday.
The park, which covers 1,589 square metre, is located in the Seventh constituency of the Muharraq Governorate in Block 244. It was inaugurated by Director General of Muharraq Municipality Shaikh Mohammed Bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.
Muharraq Municipal Council Chairman Mohammed Al Sinan, Works Ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary for Joint Municipal Services Raed Al Salah, representative of the 7th Constituency of the Muharraq Governorate Sabah Al Dosari and a number of other officials in the Ministry attended the ceremony.
“Arad Garden will serve as an entertainment outlet and an open space for families and neighbours in the area,” said Shaikh Mohammed.
“The project is in line the Work Ministry’s strategy to increase green spaces in the Kingdom,” he added.
The Garden consists of several recreational sections, including a children’s playing area in the middle of the park along shaded family areas.
It also features a green space, with a number of palm trees, flower plants and shrubs.
