History lies in ‘Snakes and Ladders’ life-size version
Manama : A life-size version of the popular ‘Snakes and Ladders’ board game has been set up in City Centre Bahrain.
But this unique version of the worldwide classic board game has a twist: the game will feature Bahrain’s history through miniature landmarks of the Kingdom.
Duaij Khalifa Al Rumaihi, Senior Mall Manager for City Centre Bahrain, said they are continuously innovating to deliver first-time experiences for the customers.
“The life-size format of the world-famous board game ‘Snakes and Ladders’ will honour our Kingdom’s heritage while offering an edutainment experience to visitors,” he said.
To participate, visitors have to spend BD30 in shopping, dining, or entertainment at City Centre Bahrain and present their receipts to the lifestyle destination’s Customer Service desks after which they will receive a participation coupon.
Players will get a chance to win prizes from the participating retailers in addition to the weekly prizes worth BD1,000.
This game hosts up to four players and features a numbered path, allowing participants to discover and learn about the Kingdom’s history through its iconic landmarks.
To add to the fun, famous radio jockey Ali Dawood will be hosting the game daily along with famous entertainers, such as Imran Al Aradi and Khaled Janahi, on weekends. Players will have a great time engaging with these personalities throughout the game.
“Participants will get the chance to contribute to our charity initiative, with proceeds going directly to Bahrain Down Syndrome Society, a local humanitarian organisation,” added Senior Mall Manager Al Rumaihi.
One of the game board’s blocks will be allocated for charity donations. Every time a player ‘falls’ on the allocated space, BD1 will be donated to Bahrain Down Syndrome Society – a charity organisation that provides support to health, psychology, education and social services to individuals with Down Syndrome in Bahrain.
The total donations from the game will provide essential school supplies to children that have been diagnosed with Down Syndrome.
The game will be located in the Central Galleria and it’s available until August 31. It will open during regular malls hours: from 10am to 10pm on weekdays and from 10am to 12am on weekends.
