Nabeel Rajab's case adjourned to September
Manama : The case of Nabeel Rajab adjourned to September 5 for hearing the closing arguments. He has been accused of permeating false news, insulting a sister country and the Ministry of Interior. He was ordered to be remanded, pending the case.
It’s worth noting the Capital Governorate’s Prosecution Chief Mohammed Al Maliki had stated in the High Criminal Court on Tuesday, earlier that the Public Persecution had detained a man after his Twitter account included false news about the ongoing military operation in Yemen, which is taking place in support of the legitimate government.
The defendant also reportedly published remarks that deemed a slur on the Ministry of Interior.
According to the indictment list, he alleged that the Ministry of Interior is torturing prisoners, humiliating them, denying them education and degrading their dignity.
