NEC celebrates 23rd anniversary of its first branch in Bahrain

ManamaThe Nonoo Exchange Company (NEC),  a leading Money Exchange and Remittance Company, has celebrated the 23rd anniversary of opening its first branch in Bahrain. 

The event held at NEC’s Askar branch began with a cake-cutting ceremony and was followed by several other entertainment activities. Members of the management and staff including Head of Retail Sales and Marketing, Eric Engineer were present.  

NEC, established in accordance with the Bahrain Commercial Companies Law, is fully regulated and licensed by the Central Bank of Bahrain to buy and sell foreign currencies and carry out international remittances.  The company is owned and managed by Fuad Nonoo. The Nonoo family is well-known in Bahrain and has a long history in the financial services sector dating back to early 1920s. 

NEC obtained the first agency in Bahrain for ‘Western Union Money Transfer’, the global leader in money transfer services. The services allowed customers to transfer money quickly and easily to more than 300,000 Western Union agent locations in over 300 countries and territories worldwide, making it the largest network of its kind.
