Court jailed man for attacking sister
Manama : The High Criminal Court has upheld the sentence handed down to a man convicted of attacking his sister.
The defendant is said to have attacked her after a disagreement erupted between them.
The woman, however, said that her brother had assaulted her, verbally and physically on many occasions.
“He has also insulted my husband.” However, the defendant denied her statement and said that she shouted at him during the argument.
The defendant was earlier given a suspended three-year jail term along with BD50 fine.
But he appealed against his initial verdict. He had been charged with assaulting his sister verbally and physically.
