60 pc progress in Sitra sanitary project

The Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Services and Acting Undersecretary for Sanitary Engineering at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, Ebrahim Al Hawaj, announced that the Ministry has achieved as much as 60 per cent progress in the Sitra Sewerage Network Project, Block 602.
According to Al Hawaj, the project comprises of extending the 2.9km long main and sub lines, constructing 238 inspection chambers and connecting 130 houses to the network. The project also includes extending 0.14km long main and sub lines for the storm water drainage network and implementing 12 drains for the network.
He added that 1300m of main lines and 140m of sub-lines have been extended till now, while 72 inspection chambers have been constructed. The BD398,442 project was earlier awarded to Mohsin Haji Ali.
