Court upholds sentence in blast case
Manama : The Supreme Appeals Court has upheld the sentences issued against nine men convicted in connection with a car bomb blast.
Two Bahraini youths were killed and a third man was injured when the vehicle exploded in Muqsha in April, 2014. They were reportedly trying to use the car to target policemen stationed at Budaiya Highway. Reports also indicate that they were planning to detonate the bomb after luring in police officers near the vehicle.
The accused told prosecutors that the deceased had requested him to make the bomb.
