World Humanitarian Day event held
Manama : The Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) World Humanitarian Day activity was a big success which featured 250 participants celebrated each year to honour the dedicated aid workers, who help to care for millions of people affected by disasters around the world.
The even had a special theme ‘Sporting Spirit for Humanity’, featuring races for kids and adults at the parking area behind the National Stadium in Riffa.
A mini 300-metre race was open for youngsters aged below 14 years and followed by a race for people with special needs, and finished off with a challenging 2km race for adults. In the kids race, the boys winner was Abdulrahman Mubarak, followed by Bader Hamad Al Dossary and Jassim Sabri third, while Ma’ab Jameel won the girls category followed by Latifa and Shaikha Najeeb third.
