Recollecting 15-year-long journey of SCW

ManamaThe Supreme Council for Women (SCW) has reached leaps over the past 15 years through initiatives that have had a great impact on the empowerment of women across all fields in the Kingdom.

On the 15th anniversary of the SCW, several journalists have highlighted the achievements of the council in paving ways for the promotion of women, raising quality of life, contributing leaders in all fields and achieving capability in economic, political and social arena.

Chairman of the Bahrain Journalists’ Association (BJA) and Chief Editor of Al Bilad, Moanes Al Mardi:

“The wisdom of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa manifested itself when HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa was appointed as the president of SCW, where she influenced the council with her visions, aspirations and worked tirelessly to turn it into a platform that uplifts Bahraini women. She also supported them by establishing programmes that continuously contribute in favour of women.”
