HRH Crown Prince orders allocation of 3,200 housing units soon

ManamaIt’s another feather in the cap of the Housing Ministry as it will allocate an additional 3,200 housing units in the Kingdom in the coming months. The ministry has already scripted success through the speedy allocation of 3,000 units since the Holy Month of Ramadan.

The allocation of new housing units was ordered by Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa during his visit to the headquarters of the Ministry of Housing in the Diplomatic area here yesterday.

Noting the achievements of the ministry, Prince Salman said the fast-paced housing drive serves as a model for delivering projects to improve citizens’ living standards.

He lauded the dedication of the ministry and its staff in their efforts to fulfil His Majesty’s directive to build over 40,000 housing units across the Kingdom in the coming years.

HRH Crown Prince also commended the ministry’s leading role in advancing housing and urban development projects across the country, in line with the directives of Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.

He pointed out that advancing housing development remains a key priority of the Kingdom’s broader infrastructure programme and investments across key sectors under the GCC fund programme.

Moreover, HRH Crown Prince stressed the important role played by His Majesty King Hamad’s comprehensive development programme in achieving the goals of Bahrain’s next development phase.

“The new advanced phase is underpinned by Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 and its principles of sustainability to accelerate growth and improve Bahrain’s long-term development prospects,” he commented.

Emphasising on the importance of facilitating public-private partnerships, HRH Crown Prince said it will help provide adequate public services, and boost the Kingdom’s long-term sustainable development.

Earlier, Prince Salman was received by Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Housing Minister Basim Alhamer and other officials of the ministry.
