Orthopaedic care at RBHMC

Manama : The Department of Orthopaedic at RBH Medical Center (RBHMC) is focusing on the screening and treatment of women’s musculoskeletal ailments, vitamin-D deficiency and osteoporosis.

Dr. Anastasia Athanasiou, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, an expert with over 15 years of experience,diagnoses and  provides treatment for sports injuries, tendinopathies, neck and back chronic pain, shoulder, hip and knee conditions, osteoarthritis and children’s orthopaedic disorders such as flat feet, in toe gait, and scoliosis. She is also known for her prominence in various orthopedic specialities including sports medicine, shoulder/knee arthroscopy, hand surgery, hip and knee joint reconstruction surgery.

“Addressing women’s musculoskeletal issues plays a very important role in ensuring that they lead an active and pain free life. We offer comprehensive evaluation and diagnosis of any musculoskeletal complains and successful treatment plans for all the ladies in our community “, says Dr. Anastasia.

Dr. Anastasia is available for consultation at RBH Medical Center-Riffa from 10 am to 12 noon on Tuesdays and from 6 pm to 8 pm on Thursdays.
