King’s Turkey visit lauded

ManamaHis Majesty King Hamad bin  Isa  Al  Khalifa’s visit to Turkey is “an assertion of Bahrain’s support to all measures taken by Turkey to maintain its security and stability”, said Information Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Rumaihi yesterday.

The minister, in a statement to  Anadolu Agency (AA) said that Turkey, as stated by the King in the bilateral discussions, will always remain Bahrain’s brethren country  and an ally of the Kingdom.

“The successful Turkey visit has opened new horizons for joint work and served as an impetus to further consolidate bilateral relations,” he remarked. 

Al Rumaihi also pointed out the leaders’ satisfaction in the growing relations between both the countries and the need for better coordination for the best interest of their people.

The minister added that the next phase will witness more cooperation between Bahrain and Turkey, mainly in the commercial field. He stressed  Bahrain’s unflinching commitment in providing support and privileges to the investors, while lauding Turkey’s wealth of experience in the industrial, commercial and economic fields. 

Commenting on the discussion between HM the King and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the minister said that the talks focused on regional and international developments and both countries’ stance regarding it. “They underlined the need for coordination in regional and international issues of shared,  Arab and Islamic interests.”

“Both leaders underlined support to regional and international efforts to fight terrorism as well as to promote regional security and welfare,” he said. 

HM the King praised Turkey’s pivotal role in supporting Arab and Islamic issues and its positive contribution, alongside the international community,  in fostering regional and global security and stability.

Al Rumaihi said the King’s visit was an added value to strong and growing fraternal relations in light of common keenness on peace, security and rule of the law in both countries. 

He stressed the efforts made to bolster regional and international stability by fighting terrorism and consolidating economic and strategic partnership.
