Abu Saiba and Safra enter semi-finals in Futsal League
Manama : Abu Saiba and Safra Youth Centre team qualified for the semi-finals of the Fourth Khalid bin Hamad Youth Centres Futsal League and the First People with Disabilities League, organised by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs.
The matches were held at the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation at Isa Sports City near the National Stadium and saw Abu Saiba defeat Karranah 3-1 with a couple of goals from Sayed Hassan Maki and the other from Sayed Fadhel, with the lone Karranah team by Saleh Mahdi.
Man of the match awards were awarded to Jaffar Al Banna from Abu Saiba and Ebrahim Khalil from Karranah.
In the second match, Safra qualified after winning 2-1 in a penalty shootout against Salamabad after the match was tied at 0-0.
Mohammed Abdullah of Safra was adjudged as player of the match.
The first semi-final match is tomorrow at 5pm between Abu Saiba and Safra and the second match at 6pm between the winners of last night’s quarter finals featuring South Sehla against Zallaq team and Al Shakhoora with Karbabad.
