GPIC achieves production record

ManamaThe Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) achieved a record production of 3,348 tonnes on September 1, the highest ever in a day since the company’s inception.

At the same time, the company also achieved a record 1,287 tonnes of Ammonia production in a day since the beginning of 2016.

GPIC organised a ceremony at GPIC Complex to celebrate the latest achievement. It was attended by GPIC Managing Director Ibrahim Al-Musaiteer along with members of the company’s Executive Management and other officials.

Al-Musaiteer said the achievement was the result of continuing modernisation of operations and an eagerness to provide training programmes to make the staff more professional at a time of intense global competition.

GPIC President Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery said the feat was possible due to the balanced and futuristic strategy of the Board of Directors and the Executive Management as well as all employees.

Dr. Jawahery said the company continued its success at all levels and to match international standards with a commitment to applying the highest international standards in the field of occupational safety, health and quality, keeping in mind the protection of the environment.

Dr. Jawahery said all of the company’s operations are run on global systems for quality, the environment system and occupational health and safety.

GPIC has, in recent years, seen an increase in production, which has resulted in more employment, increased exports as well as more investments in the field of maintenance and safety.

As a result, GPIC has achieved record working hours without a lost time accident, which, in turn, has led to record production levels.
