Solo Exhibition ‘Bricks’

In her first solo exhibition, Hadeer AlBaqqali (born 1979), explores the relationship between man and built. Through colours, Hadeer challenges the argument that modern built disconnects human from their land. Quoting the late Zaha Hadid “What’s nice about concrete is that it looks unfinished”, every building says a story and every brick stands witness on a time, a nation and a culture.

I’ll be launching my new band formation “Ala Ghawas & The Martians” in a warm and cozy atmosphere at ‘Downtown’ - my favorite live music venue in the island located at the Regency Intercontinental. I’m finally going to perform my songs live the way I’ve always imagined with a group of brilliant friends who I’ve always admired.
