Safra to face Zallaq in final

ManamaAbu Saiba was beaten 4-3 by Safra and Al Shakhoora lost to the defending champions Zallaq 3-1 on penalties in the semi-finals of the Fourth Khalid bin Hamad Young Centres Futsal league.

The final between Zallaq and Safra is set to kick-off at 6.30pm with key players for Zallaq include its captain Radhid Bakhit Al Dossari, goal keeper Mahboob Za’al, Atiya Mohammed Khalaf, Faris Al Hosni and Mohammed Al Sinjar and for Safra they have Fawaz Abdul Sattar, Abdullah Saleh, Ahmed Saleh and Mohammed Abdullah.

Under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Athletic Association, the Fourth Khalid bin Hamad Youth Centres Futsal League and First People with Disabilities League organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs concludes today at the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation Hall in Isa Sports City.

The final day of activities kicks off today 4pm with Abu Saiba Youth Centre facing Al Shakhoora Youth Center to determine third and fourth places.

Meanwhile, at 5.30pm the Deaf team face Harakia Society team in the final of the First People with Disabilities League, players to look out for include Harakia team captain Nabil Al Dossari and Mohamed Buainain and the Deaf team has Akbar Salman and Farooq Ibrahim.

Earlier, the third place position was won by Bahrain Deaf Society after thrashing the Special Education team 5-1 thanks to a brace of goals by man of the match Sayyed Adnan Al Widai and Mohammed Salim and one from Sayyed Hassan Al Ghuraifi.

The two tournament featured 32 teams for the Youth Centres League and 6 in the Disabilities League, playing initially round-robin followed by a straight knockout.
