Environment-friendly school to open in Bahrain

Manama : A new intermediate school for girls will open its doors in Busaiteen within a few weeks.

Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi announced the upcoming inauguration as he inspected the progress of work on the four-storey facility.

The environment-friendly, energy-saving vertically-constructed school was built in cooperation with the Ministry of Works, Municipalities and Urban Planning.

The new educational milestone, which cost BD4.8 million, is made up of 30 classes capable of accommodating 1000 students.

It features electric lifts, central air-conditioning, modern scientific labs, a multipurpose hall and other state-of-art facilities.

Dr. Al-Nuaimi paid tribute to the wise leadership for supporting the ministry, describing the new school as being part of the Government’s Action Plan (GAP).

He unveiled plans to transfer students from the current Busaiteen intermediate girls’ school and part of students enrolled at Zenoubia intermediate school to the new facility.
