One dead; several injured in separate accidents in Bahrain
Manama : A Bahraini man was killed and several others injured in two separate accidents that occurred on Shaikh Jaber Al Sabah Highway and Shaikh Isa bin Salman Highway.
The deceased was identified as 18-year-old Ali Al Nakkal from Al Kharjiya village in Sitra.
Interior Ministry announced on its official Twitter page in the morning that “a Bahraini citizen died in a serious traffic accident involving a car and a truck on Shaikh Jaber Al Sabah Highway in the direction to Riffa”.
The concerned authorities have taken the necessary measures, the ministry affirmed.
Relatives disclosed that the deceased had rammed the car into the truck, which was stopped at the congested traffic on the busy highway. He was declared dead on the spot. Investigations have been launched into the details of the mishap by the concerned authorities.
The second accident occurred on Shaikh Isa bin Salman highway at around 7pm, causing severe injuries among the people involved. Both accidents caused heavy traffic jams on both highways.
