Open house at Al Fateh Grand Mosque
Manama : Al Fateh Grand Mosque(also known as Ahmed Al-Fateh Islamic Centre), Bahrain’s largest mosque, will host an open house event on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Non-muslim residents and tourists will have the chance to tour the Grand Mosque this Eid Al Adha holidays. The programme is sponsored by Ministry of Justice and Islamic Affairs and organised by Ahmed Al-Fateh Islamic Centre .
“In line with the Kingdom’s policy of promoting better understanding and harmony between different faiths and cultures, the Ahmed Al-Fateh Islamic Centre is pleased to host a very special Eid Open House event on September 13 and 14 from 9am to 5pm, to provide a unique opportunity for people of other faiths to join us in celebrating and enjoying the Eid Al Adha,” Ahmed Al Fateh Islamic Centre stated.
“Our centre is dedicated to spread the message of peace, love and peaceful coexistence between all people and welcomes all non-Muslim expatriates and tourists who wish to visit this great architectural marvel. Visitors can also enjoy traditional Bahraini sweets, cakes, pastries, dates, Arabic Coffee and tea. The visitors will also be given a guided tour of the Grand mosque and briefed on the history of the centre and importance of Eid pilgrimage. There will also be special games for children and gifts for visitors,” it stated.
