Hajj medical panel active, says official
Manama : The Bahraini Medical Committee that is assigned by the Health Ministry to accompany pilgrims to Hajj this year is working according to plan, said the Committee Head, Dr. Ibrahim Obaid, yesterday.
Health Minister Faeqa Al Saleh contacted Dr. Obaid, who assured her that all pilgrims from Bahrain (citizens and residents) are in fine fettle.
The minister also stressed on the importance of providing the necessary healthcare services to pilgrims during their stay in the holy lands.
Moreover, Dr. Obaid informed that the pilgrims from the Kingdom had peacefully completed the Hajj rituals. He added that the committee had rescued and treated a number of pilgrims, who suffered from fatigue and heat strokes during the pilgrimage.
Al Saleh expressed her appreciation to the efforts of the Committee to ensure protecting pilgrims and providing them with the necessary medical services, as per the directives of Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
