Sami Al Haddad left Bahrain to participate in Mr Olympia
Manama : Bahrain professional Bodybuilder Sami Al Haddad has left the Kingdom to participate in the Mr Olympia PRO category 212, to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, US from tomorrow until Sunday.
Al Haddad was seen off by Vice President of the Bahrain Bodybuilding and Weightlifting Federation (BBWF) Sultan Al Ghanim who conveyed the greetings of BBWF President, HH Shaikh Abdullah Bin Rashid Al Khalifa and wished him success in the event.
The event in the US includes events such as Boxing, Jiu Jitsu, Karate, Kick Boxing, Kung Fu, Weightlifting, Bodybuilding and special merchandise exhibitions as Al Haddad is up against 18 other competitors from Brazil, Bulgaria, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Germany, Iran, Japan, Kuwait, Slovakia, South Korea, US and four-time defending champion Flex Lewis from Swansea, Wales in the UK.
Al Haddad’s last major success was winning first place at the 2016 IFBB Mozolani Pro Classic in May after overcoming an eight-contestant challenge in the Pro Men’s Bodybuilding 202 LBS at the Mozolani
Trainings Fitness Club, in Zilina, Slovakia and picking up the top prize purse of U$3,000, followed by Ronny Rockel of Germany (U$2,000) in second and Iraqi Ahmad Ahmad (U$1,000) third and had previously won the same event two years earlier.
