Court rejects appeal in robbery case
Manama : The High Criminal Appeals Court rejected the appeal filed by a man convicted in a robbery case, confirming his three month’s imprisonment.
The 33-year-old man reportedly stole a mobile phone from a woman.
The defendant allegedly met the victim at a cold store in Muharraq, where he requested her to make a call using her cellphone.
She gave the device and he took it outside the shop, pretending that he would be making the call. However, he ran away instead, and the woman went to police station and filed a complaint against him.
The man was arrested eventually after police officers kept tabs on the serial number of the stolen phone.
