Expats final hearing in murder case on September 21
Manama: The closing arguments in the trial of two Filipino men accused in connection with murder of a Pakistani man will be heard on September 21.
According to court reports, the Pakistani man’s body was found in an apartment in Hoora and initial investigation confirmed that he was killed with a knife.
During investigation, detectives found out that the two defendants, aged 36 and 39, had murdered the victim.
Later, it was revealed that one of Filipino men was in the victim’s debt and he committed the murder as he failed to settle the money owed.
Prosecutors said the second defendant abetted the crime, while it was the first defendant who stabbed the victim.
The duo stole several belongings of the Pakistani man before leaving the crime scene, including bank cards and cash.
