Directorate ramps up traffic patrols as schools reopen

Manama : Traffic patrols would be deployed to deal with congestions as schools reopen said Acting General Director of Traffic Colonel Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Abdulwahab Al Khalifa.

He also urged parents to cooperate with traffic personnel, community police and school guards to avoid congestions near schools.

The General Directorate of Traffic has completed preparations of the Back-to-School plans to regulate the traffic flow for the safety of road users.

Meanwhile, traffic near education zones will be regulated in cooperation with security directorates and community partnership.

Traffic patrols  will be high on roads with heavy traffic in all governorates and the main three bridges leading to Muharraq.

The Directorate is also set to  implement an awareness programme this academic year.
