Alba launches safety campaign
Manama: Aluminium Bahrain BSC (Alba), the Bahrain-based international aluminium smelter, launched ‘Safety at the Heart of Alba’ campaign on September 18.
Alba’s Executive Management led by CEO Tim Murray along with Chief Financial Officer Ali Al Baqali, Chief Marketing Officer Khalid A. Latif and Acting Chief Operations Officer Amin Sultan, distributed the new campaign’s flyers to the employees at Alba’s gates.
The main idea behind the campaign is to urge the employees to not just think of safety, but feel it at all times, as well as to work hand-in-hand with their colleagues to make Alba a safe working place.
Commenting on the new safety campaign, Murray said, “By touching the heart to change the mind, safety has become a key priority in our day-to-day operations in order to achieve a zero-accident work environment. Safety is a behaviour whose impact is felt by everyone. Our new campaign ‘Safety at the Heart of Alba’ not only focuses on the attitude of our employees, but also on making safety an essential aspect of living responsibly.”
As part of this new campaign, billboards and posters with the key messages have been set up all over the plant to reinforce Alba’s safety principles and beliefs.
