Parliamentarians welcome Government Forum

The Government Forum 2016 was welcomed by Bahrain’s legislators, who hailed it as a milestone in the Kingdom’s democratic march.
Parliament Chairman Ahmed Al Mulla described the Forum as a pioneering step on the path of national accomplishment to achieve Bahrain’s strategic vision 2030.
He also pointed out the parliament’s support to all programmes aimed at developing performance of the public sector and achieving the Economic Vision 2030.
On his part, Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh said the Forum is an initiative with strategic national aspects and an unprecedented step in the history of government work.
Al Saleh asserted that bringing government officials together reflects the one-team spirit and keenness to exchange ideas and visions to prompt more creativity and development in the public and private sectors.
“Holding the Forum is a step towards carrying out citizen-oriented projects more accurately in line with the directives of HM the King,” Al Saleh added.
Sharing a similar opinion was MP Mohammed Al Maarifi, who commended the initiative, which allows the fourth state, the media, to closely monitor the developmental processes of the government.
Al Maarifi also underlined the importance of the topics discussed in the Forum, such as developing public education, healthcare services, employment and the national economy.
Emphasising on the support of the legislative authority to the progress of the government, Al Maarifi added that such open meets contributes to the democratic and transparent future of the Kingdom.
