Forum to help Bahrain meet Economic Vision 2030

ManamaThe principles of sustainability, competitiveness, and fairness should continue to guide the government’s work, said His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. 

Taking stock of the outcomes of the Government Forum 2016, HM King Hamad remarked that the Forum had played a crucial role in facilitating interaction and promoting the exchange of new ideas across government. 

“This new drive will help Bahrain meet Economic Vision 2030’s core goal of long term sustainable development,” opined King Hamad during his meeting with Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa at Sakhir Palace yesterday.

 On the occasion, HM the King praised the Premier’s efforts to enhance government performance and standards of public services. 

Lauding Prince Salman’s role in launching Bahrain’s new high-level Government Forum, he highlighted the Crown Prince’s commitment to enhancing performance across government departments and delivering initiatives that directly benefit the citizens. 

His Majesty also commended Prince Salman’s presentation at the Government Forum, which detailed the key priorities of Bahrain’s next phase of development. The Crown Prince exuded confidence that despite the current challenges, the government is able to deliver ambitious targets of the next phase of development to improve citizens’ living standards.

During the meeting, Prince Khalifa highlighted his commitment to further developing the government’s performance and productivity.

HRH Premier praised the support provided by the King to the Government Forum 2016. He also welcomed the Crown Prince’s contribution to the Forum and the additional creative initiatives that have helped strengthen the government’s performance, especially in delivering public services. A number of senior government officials also attended the meeting.
