Motorist in the dock for attacking police
Manama : A 21-year-old Bahraini biker bit a police officer in his hand in a bid to escape from being caught for not wearing a helmet.
According to the police officer, the motorist was pulled over for not wearing a helmet.
“I asked him to show his ID, but he tried to flee with the bike. I held him by my hands but he bit my hand,” the officer told the prosecutors.
“Then my colleague intervened and we managed to arrest him,” he added.
Meanwhile, the accused claimed that he attacked the police officer as he feared that the two-wheeler, which he purchased for BD1500, would be seized by the police.
