Bahrain attends UN General Assembly
New York : Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa attended the 71st session of UN General Assembly in New York yesterday morning alongside world leaders and heads of delegations.
The session focused on a number of key issues including the situation in Syria, Yemen and Libya as well as the Palestinian and the refugees issues.
In his speech, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, affirmed the importance of the Paris Agreement to achieve sustainable development and improve the future. He praised the progress made regarding climate change and expressing hope for implementation of the agreement.
