Guard nabbed for abducting three expat women in Bahrain
Manama: A security guard kidnapped three Thai women and robbed their mobile phones, according to court files.
The case was reported to the police by the victims’ friend.
After reviewing the cameras installed in the hotel, the police discovered that the 25-year-old defendant was keeping tabs on the trio. The footage showed that the man went ahead and had a chat with the women before offering them ride in a black car. The women showed up after a while, and the investigators spotted one of them with injuries to her face.
“He told us that he would give us a ride. But he took us to an unknown place and grabbed our phones and money. We were so scared that two of us jumped off the car in order to escape,” the injured woman told the police officers.
The trio identified the assailant through a photo line-up and he was charged with kidnapping and robbery.
