Teenager drowns in swimming pool
Manama : A Bahraini teenager drowned in a swimming pool yesterday.
He is the second teenager from the same village to die in a swimming pool in less than two weeks, officials informed.
The Interior Ministry confirmed the news, stating on its official Twitter page that “A Bahraini boy, 13, drowned in a swimming pool in Malkiya”, adding that “police are on the scene.”
Sources confirmed to DT News that the deceased was identified as Mujtaba Abdulla, who hails from Ma’ameer village in the Capital Governorate.
DT News had reported on September 14 that 14-year-old Salman Abdulla, from Ma’ameer village, died in a swimming pool near Askar.
Another swimming pool death was reported on September 5, when a Bahraini woman suffered a cardiac arrest.
The woman had been pronounced dead on the scene while in a pool in Buri village.
