TRA holds two-day workshop
Manama : The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) held a two-day workshop for staff members at its headquarters in Seef on current regulatory issues in the telecommunications industry.
The workshop was conducted by Ian Walden – a Professor of Information and Communications Law from the Centre of Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary University of London and is of Counsel to Baker and McKenzie.
The purpose of the workshop was to familiarise TRA staff with recent regulatory developments, competition law enforcement, building domestic and international networks.
“Such workshops are essential to our mission here at the TRA, as they provide us with valuable insights,” said TRA’s Deputy General Director Sh. Nasser bin Mohamed Al Khalifa. “Keeping informed of best international practices in the legal telecoms field eases navigating through these issues ourselves.”
