PM urges to thwart attempts to downplay Bahrain’s feats

ManamaPrime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa urged political societies to act responsibly at international gatherings to confront attempts to downplay Bahrain’s achievements. 

Prince Khalifa also praised the patriotic role of the political societies in raising political awareness and boosting the role of civil society institutions.

The Prime Minister was speaking as he received members of the National Action Charter Society led by Head of the political bureau Ahmed Juma’a Mubarak at Gudaibiya Palace yesterday. 

The Premier praised the role of the non-government organisations (NGOs), which is one of the pillars of democracy and political work in Bahrain.

HRH the Premier stressed the government’s keenness to lay bridges of constructive cooperation with the societies within the framework of institutional integration to serve development goals. 

Prince Khalifa pointed out the need for concerted efforts to preserve national security amid local and regional challenges. The PM stressed the government’s keenness to provide support to the civil society institutions out of awareness of their major role, especially in this phase, in serving the nation and promoting democracy.

The Prime Minister commended the patriotic role of the National Action Charter Society to maintain unity and stability in Bahrain, underlining the government’s keenness to support political societies and NGOs.
