Bahraini man jailed for drug peddling
Manama : A Bahraini man got eight years behind bars along with BD1500 fine for peddling illicit drugs and possessing bullets.
The sentence given by the High Criminal Court.
The convicted man was arrested in a sting operation after police officers received a tip off.
The operation was carried out with the support of an undercover agent who proposed BD180 for shabu, an offer that was accepted by the defendant.
The pair then met in Hoora, while anti-drug squads were keeping an eye on them. The Bahraini men was arrested following a pursuit.
Following a search operation in the man’s apartment in Manama, the police recovered several types of drugs.
The defendant during interrogations, admitted to consuming drugs, but denied selling.
