BIC to host first Open Track Night racing

ManamaBahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir will open its doors to the public on Friday for the first Open Track Night of the new racing season.

This highly popular event will showcase cars and bikes under its state-of-the-art track lighting system from 4pm until 11pm.

All of the action will be held along BIC’s 5.412-kilometre Grand Prix track which is used for Bahrain’s biggest motorsport event the Formula1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.

In the Open Track Night, people can bring their own vehicles and choose between a drive for a whole night or half-night sessions between 4pm and 7pm or 8pm and 11pm. A single 30-minute session is also available.

Friends or family members who would like to accompany a participant as a passenger are also welcomed.

Aside from the Open Track, speed enthusiasts can also experience 40 minute passenger rides in a Clio Cup car and a Radical SR3 prototype, a new addition to the event.

The ride gives clients a look into the racing capabilities of one of the world’s most popular sports cars.

Furthermore, a 4X4 off-road adventure will also be held at  the Land Rover Experience Centre, which is the only one of its kind in the Middle East.

All of Friday’s events at BIC will be taking place with the highest of international safety standards.
