HM King gets Lifetime Achievement Award

Washington : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa was conferred with Lifetime Achievement Award by US C3 Summit here yesterday. 

Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed  Al  Khalifa received the award from Former US Foreign Minister, Henry Kissinger, on behalf of HM the King.

The honour is in recognition of HM King Hamad’s achievements and efforts in development, respect for religious pluralism in Bahrain and his interest in bolstering Bahrain-US ties at all levels. 

On the occasion, Shaikh Khalid explained that HM King’s approach aims to advance the status of Bahraini citizens through comprehensive economic development. The minister  emphasised the King’s determination to nurture the Bahraini community model that is open on all cultures. 

The Foreign Minister also underlined the depth of relations linking Bahrain and the US that date back 120 years ago with the establishment of the American Mission Hospital in Bahrain. 

Meanwhile, Henry Kissinger lauded the important role being played by Bahrain to preserve security in the region and the world.

It is worth noting that the US C3 Summit seeks to bolster bilateral ties between the US and the Arab countries.
