Huawei on-job training for students

ManamaHuawei Bahrain announced it has kicked-off the second phase of its internship programme this year.

The students from universities across Bahrain are participating in the programme which will be mentored and coached by Huawei experts.

Emphasizing the importance of the Programme, Huawei Bahrain’s Country Manager, Feng Nan Paul said, “Our programme is designed in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.”

The interns will be assigned with tasks that entail rational probing, independent initiative, advanced research skills, fieldwork and others. The internship helps to bridge the gap between what is learned and what is practiced in the workplace, the company said in a statement.

The Huawei Internship Programme has proved its success in hosting a number of students from Bahrain Polytechnic earlier this year. Former Huawei intern, Zainab Al Saeed, has developed a VoIP Fraud Call Detection Tool during her internship period, which was awarded “Project of the Year” by Bahrain Polytechnic.

Commenting on her experience at Huawei, she said, “It was a privilege to have our first experience in the real world with Huawei experts who are devoted in helping and guiding us. It was truly a beneficial internship as we gained immense hands-on experience by working on technical projects and delivering valuable results.”
