Conference on employee welfare to be organised

Manama : ‘Bahrain health and Wellness Conference’ on improving the work environment of the employees, will be held here on November 23 and 24. Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza will preside over the event.

The conference will include discussions on intensive theory, occupational health and idealism at the global, regional and local levels.  

It will also discuss the role of women in occupational health programmes.

In a statement yesterday, the Minister stressed the importance of the conference in enhancing productivity in all sectors. 

According to him, 64 per cent of productivity depends on the humans and the conference aims to create a healthy work environment.

 “Occupational health aims to promote higher physical and mental integrity and social welfare,” said Association president Dr. Mohammad Saber.

He also thanked the Minister for his commitment to the development of the Bahraini cadres and develop their abilities.

More than 300 participants from various countries around the world will attend the conference, which will also incorporate a series of workshops conducted by international experts.

The Bahrain Petroleum Company, Bahrain Airport Services and the Gulf Aluminium Rolling Mills Company are sponsoring the event, organised by the Association of Health Physicians.
