Al Baraka Islamic Bank wins GIFA
Manama : Al Baraka Islamic Bank - Bahrain has won the Global Islamic Finance Award (GIFA) for the Best Islamic Bank for Treasury Management 2016.
The award aims to encourage excellence in Islamic finance, with an ultimate objective of promoting social responsibility and encouraging the adherence of businesses with the Shari’a rules and commitment to Islamic banking and finance.
Mohamed Isa Al Mutaweh, board member and Chief Executive Officer of Al Baraka Islamic Bank received the award at a ceremony held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on September 29, 2016. The event was held under the patronage of President of Indonesia Joko Widodo.
Commenting on the winning, Al Mutaweh said: “This award is a cherish certificate of our high-quality and innovative Sharia-complied products and services. We are delighted to see the status of the bank and its reputation enhanced not only in the region but across the Islamic countries in all continents of the world.”
