HRH Premier urges to continue burgeoning media sector

Manama : Prime Minister HRH  Prince  Khalifa  bin Salman Al  Khalifa stressed the importance of official media to be technically advanced to cope with the quantum development of international media. 

HRH Premier called for projecting Bahrain’s political, economic and human rights achievements using the media.

Prince Khalifa made the remarks during a meeting to get updated on the development schemes of the official media institution here yesterday. 

On the occasion, Minister of Information Affairs Ali bin Mohammed Al Rumaihi explained about the ministry’s development initiatives in the television, radio and news fields as well as the efforts exerted to groom national competencies. 

HRH Prime Minister urged to adopt initiatives to bring about quality development of TV and radio programmes. 

The Premier said the political, democratic, human rights and development momentum in Bahrain needs dynamic media which are capable of projecting professionally this development to the whole world.

The Prime Minister urged to optimise development and training programmes for national competencies working in the official media field, describing the national media staff as the real asset of the media institution. 

Prince Khalifa exuded confidence in the national media competencies to play a bigger role in national work, praising the Information Minister’s wealth of experience and capability to steer the official media institution.

Meanwhile, the Information Minister commended the Premier’s support to the media sector and the Information Affairs Ministry, reiterating the ministry’s pledge to carry on with its development plans.
