Rodents at eateries: Shop owners to face the music
Manama : In the wake of a viral video that showed rodents running around the eateries, the investigative team of Department of Public Health has found serious violations of health safety in cafeterias on Osama bin Zayid road in Adliya. As the video went viral on social media, the Health Ministry’s Department of Public Health had formed an investigative team to inquire into the incident.
During the inspections yesterday, the Food Control Department inspectors found violations by several restaurants in the area. They prepared a public prosecution report against the shop owners as the eateries lacked hygiene and were infested with rodents and insects.
Meanwhile, the officials confirmed that the ministry is currently working on a plan to implement health codes in the area and eradicate violations to ensure health safety.
