Woman get jail for publishing obscene images online
Manama : The six-month jail sentence issued against a deaf Bahraini woman, who published obscene images online, was upheld.
According to the case, the 21-year-old woman allegedly uploaded pornographic materials on fake social media accounts in order to manipulate men pursuing prostitutes.
She is said to have conned many men, who deposited cash in her bank account in an effort to lure her for sexual affair.
She had posted the pictures stapled with her bank account number, requesting ‘those who are seeking sex’ to put money in her account and then message her.
She was arrested after police received a tip-off from a Bahraini man, whose name was used in the accounts.
The woman was handed down six months behind bars, which was confirmed by the High Criminal Appeals Court.
It’s worth noting that she was implicated in other fraud cases as well as using illegal drugs earlier.
