Businesswoman faces forgery charges
Manama : A 32-year-old businesswoman has been charged with adultery and forgery, according to court files. The case against the mother of two girls was filed by her husband.
According to the husband’s statements, they have been married for more than 14 years. He alleged that his wife had an illicit affair with another man and they travelled together to Egypt.
Investigations by the police verified the plaintiff’s claims, according to which the woman was arrested, the court files read.
Meanwhile, the woman claimed that she got divorced from her husband.
She presented a copy of the divorce certificate, which was later found to be fake. Thus she was also charged with forgery.
The woman, in her statements, said that she got married to the other man, with whom she went to Egypt.
