ManamaThe latest brand film launched by Malabar Gold & Diamond, centred on a telephonic conversation between Bollywood celebrity couples Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, has gone viral in India.

The campaign, according to Malabar Gold, has garnered more than 8 million views on YouTube and social media in a week. Besides, more than 10,000 tweets floated in the virtual platform with the hashtags: #KareenasAnniversarySurprise, #WhoSurprisedKareena and #KareenaSurprised. 

The one-minute film directed by Bollywood film director and writer Vinil Mathew focuses on the segment of the buyer pool - men looking to gift jewellery to their partners. The campaign imbibes the theme ‘Every woman in this world likes two things - surprise and diamond!’

As the brand is all geared to focus more on diamond gifting, Malabar Gold & Diamond’s through the film positions itself as a man’s choice for his better half and brightens a new phase in the jewellery advertisement.
