Capital Governor inspects Ashura mourning sites
Manama : Capital Governor Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa yesterday held a field visit to the Ashura mourning sites to learn about the requirements to be provided for the service and security sides during Ashura activities.
The governor was briefed on the routes of Hussaini processions and services provided, such as concrete barriers to ensure the safety of citizens against traffic, as well as the safety requirements to be met at Hussaini stalls.
He praised the coordination among the security agencies, service ministries, Jaafari Awqaf Department and General Authority for Hussaini Processions during Ashura. He thanked all those participating in making Ashura commemoration successful.
On the occasion, Jaafari Awqaf Chairman Sheikh Muhsin Al-Asfoor paid tribute to the governor’s efforts to succeed Ashura commemoration and the joint action that reflects community partnership.
